Speed went to the vet's yesterday and ran into his bro Bohdan. Although Speed was amazingly calm, Bohdan was so noisy in the other room!!
I want you all to know that Speed went to a new home today. He is going to live in Ajax and his new name is Remo. I hope to post that picture or video, if I can figure that out.
Bear with me.

Hi Paula, Speed's dad didn't want to call him Remo. He is "Duke"! He is so well behaved I cannot believe it. The ride home was very upsetting for him and we had to stop at the side of the QEW as his tummy was upset but we made it and he has been fine ever since. We absolutely love him and so does the entire neighbourhood!!! Talk soon. Bev.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad he made it home and is doing well. I like the name Duke. Maybe his registered name will be Diamondsbest Duke of Speed
ReplyDeleteHi Paula, Have you any suggestions to get Duke to go for a walk or is it too early yet?
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad that Speed/Duke has gone home. He sounds like a real character. Any word on how Abbey's sisters are doing???
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about the sisters too, all the brothers have a voice but only Abbey on the girls side!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Duke (Speed) finally has a home, Ryan was teary, he lived in hope for a second puppy! Keep us all updated with his progress!
Today Duke finally let us know he was very comfortable with his new home. When I got up to get ready for work he was leaping around all over the place wanting to play. That is the most spunk he has had since he arrived on Friday. He is truly the most loveable little addition to our family. Everyone is always smiling and laughing now!!!
ReplyDeleteHi guys,
ReplyDeleteI love this method of keeping in touch.
I am going to ask other lab owners to join in that have had my pups over the years. One is a lady from Burlington that has 2 of my labs. If she joins in her name is Victoria. I am also going to let Jodie who now has Jack and Diva to participate.
I have Bred Melanie with Bounder and pups expected Early Nov.
I have also just bred Dolly (golden) with Johnnie so if breeding works I will have to start a Diamonondsbest Golden blog as well.
You are all doing a great job. Have faith, the pups will soon grow up!!
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteIt has been awhile but have had news from Duke (Speed). He is very laid back and according to his new owners likes to sit down after 30 feet on his leash. Also have asked several lab people to join the blog, so watch out for their comments. They own pups from the past, but want to keep in touch.
Just a brief update on Duke. HE IS WALKING!!!! and he absolutely loves it. We try and take him around the block a few times a day but it takes so long to get around as everyone who sees him wants to come and pet him and tell me how cute he is!!! I feel like a new Mom again. Truly he is a very smart dog. Walks like an angel, gives paw, lays down, comes on call, sleeps in (yee haw), loves his crate, etc., etc. Now if he would just let us know when he has to go to the washroom. We continue to let him out on a regular basis so that we do not have accidents. One day he will let us know. How are all Duke's brothers and sisters doing? Wouldn't it be lovely to have a family reunion one day!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteDuke is off to his new Vet today for his next set of shots and his overall examination. I'll keep you posted!!
ReplyDeleteDuke weighed in at 38 pounds!!! 38 pounds of the most loveable little puppy in the world.
